Morganite is like Aquamarine, Golden beryl or the green Emerald a variety of Beryl.
The pink coloured noble Beryl Morganite was named 1910 after the New Yorker banker and gem fanatic John Pierpont Morgan, better known as J.P. Morgan.
Morganite is found in different shades of pink tones.
Typical discovery sites for Morganite are mainly found in Brazil, Madagascar, Afghanistan and the USA.
